Why Sound?
As a poet and musician, I’m always exploring sound; of language, music, films, media, and the environment. I have been a DJ and beatmaker for more than ten years, making music in many genres including hip hop, house, jungle, and drum n’ bass.
As an educator, I’m interested in the ways sound and remix studies can inform our work around digital and media literacies.
As a qualitative researcher, I’m always thinking about how sound, remix, and poetic inquiry provide us with multimodal methodologies and alternative ways of knowing.
